200 Days Until Change for Ward 7

Dear Friends:

Today marks 200 days until Election Day on October 25, 2010. I want to take a moment to reflect and share with you why I want to represent the residents of Ward 7 at Mississauga City Hall.

I am answering the call to public service because I believe in Ward 7, because I feel a profound sense of connection to this community and in large part because of its amazing diversity and abundance of opportunities it has provided me.

The only way I know to show one’s appreciation is to dedicate one’s life toward service to others and the community. It is my firm belief that we should create a more inclusive and connected Mississauga that benefits everyone.

I have been a strong, passionate and proven leader by building grassroots program for children and youth, representing the interests of the people by serving on numerous boards and committees, and dedicated towards finding solutions to building a better community.

I want to bring out the very best in Ward 7 – helping its small businesses to grow, its neighbourhoods to thrive, and its people to prosper. I want to deliver those changes that residents tell me they want to see: a cleaner city with safer streets, better transit, programs for youth and quality public spaces.

A vote for my campaign is a vote for change. For solutions, not excuses.

I hope you’ll join my team and me as we work together for change on October 25. Please get connected to the campaign: vote, volunteer and donate. Visit lourozmercader.com/connect.

Yours for an even stronger Ward 7,

Louroz M. Mercader

I am very happy to read this. This is the type of manual that needs to be given and not the accidental misinformation that is at the other blogs. Appreciate your sharing this greatest doc.
