How Ward 7 campaign donations work

Who can give: any Ontario resident. Corporations, Businesses and Unions are NOT eligible to donate under the Municipal Elections Act.
Contribution limits: up to $1,200 total to this campaign, and no more than $5,000 in total across all candidates running for the same council.
Every gift is receipted — we record your name, address and the amount for every contribution, regardless of size.
Public disclosure: contributions totaling more than $100 are listed by name on the public financial statement; $100-or-less stays in an aggregate total.
Mississauga rebate: if you’re eligible to vote in the City of Mississauga and your single gift is $100 or more, you may qualify for a rebate of 50% of your contribution (up to $750). Smaller gifts that add up to $100+ do not qualify.
Cash contributions are capped at $25.
